Today we're introducing a communications expert who has worked at GM for a decade and a half - Kim Carpenter. Currently GM's East Coast Communications Manager, Kim works in NYC, loves the outdoors, manufacturing and the Texas Longhorns.
Andrea Khoury founded the popular website and hyper-local network, Northern Virginia Housewives in the region just outside of Washington, D.C. She joined the Washington Automotive Press Association a few years ago, and we have enjoyed getting to know each other (and even working together on occasion) ever since. The NOVA Housewives franchise is now operating in nine cities nationwide, so Andrea is definitely an up-and-comer to keep your eye on in the near future!
Let’s learn about Andrea’s driving style…
How I Drive | Andrea Khoury of NOVA Housewives
Daily Driver: 2012 BMW X5, silver, inline 6 turbo.
Time Spent Driving/day: 45-60 minutes
Road Most Traveled: Capital Beltway (I-495)
Driving Style in One Word: Lead-footed… If that’s a word!
In-Car Must-Haves: The high end features I need are Bluetooth audio, leather seats, backup camera and/or sensors. As for the basics, you can never have enough cup holders and phone charging (12V or USB) outlets when traveling with multiple devices.
Driving Tunes: Right now, I’m obsessed with syncing my Spotify to the Bluetooth in my car and streaming Hot Country and Latin Pop. Vivir mi vida, la la la la!
Time-saving technique: With the traffic around the nation’s capital, I find that using Waze helps to identify the quickest routes during rush hour. I also utilize HOV lanes when possible.
Hanging from rear view: Nothing…But I have hair accessories, necklaces, and bracelets hanging from my turn signal!
